November Newsletter 2011
Welcome
As you receive this letter National Antiques Week will be just about to begin. Please read on to see how our week of celebrating 'Antiques' will unfold.
We are also busy preparing for our annual Christmas celebration's which takes place the first weekend of December. As always there will be a feast for one's eyes with all our specialists making that extra special effort to display their carefully chosen pieces. Don't forget we also provide very attractive gift vouchers for those hard to buy for people!
During the weekend John Robertson will be hosting an exhibition of works by David Napp. Many of you may already know of his work with his very Mediterranean feel, however, on this occasion we are very fortunate that David will also be showing his latest work inspired by the surreal and poetic landscape of Dungeness.
We do hope you can join us for this festive occasion and indulge yourself with mulled wine, mince pies and an abundance of beautiful objects, furniture and works of art.
With our very best wishes,
Lennox, Sue and all at the galleries.

During this week antique shops, centres and auction houses around the country will be promoting the merits of choosing antiques over new massed produced items which lose their value as soon as they leave the shop! Antiques not only offer individuality to ones home, they have virtually no carbon footprint.
We are sure we are preaching to the converted! But on that note Lennox Cato will be presenting a talk entitled 'Buying for Investment' on Thursday 17th November. This has certainly proved a very popular topic with tickets selling almost immediately. If you would like to take this opportunity to attend what will be a very informative and enjoyable evening, please contact us by Monday 14th November to book your tickets. The evening will start at 7pm with an opportunity to browse around the galleries before the talk begins at 7.45pm. Tickets cost £15 (incl.vat) per person and includes wine and nibbles. For further information on this event please go to http://www.lennoxcato.com/p/events
It's competition time!
To add to the interest of this annual antiques event, we are launching a monthly competition with the chance to win a gift voucher from The Edenbridge Galleries to the value of £100. This month Amherst Antiques have offered this fascinating article, can you decipher its use? See below in Competition of the Month. The draw will take place on Monday 21st November. So, go on, have a go! It certainly got us baffled!!
