The galleries have been extremely busy this past month with Amherst Antiques 'Temptations' exhibition and now our tea event is only a few days away! We do hope you are able to join us for 'A History of Tea' when you will be able to partake in our very own brew entitled 'The Edenbridge Historical Blend'. This tea is a classic mix bringing together five of the most important areas in world tea production. Blends for Friends, a local and internationally renowned tea merchant have designed this tea especially for us and will be present on the Saturday afternoon at 2.30pm to host a talk to enlighten us on how tea came to this country. The talk will involve tea tasting with information where each tea has originated from.

Our various specialists have been formulating collections to show you the many different antiques that have developed from the desire for this popular drink and John Robertson will be taking us into the present day, with a delightful collection of contemporary paintings by the renowned artist, Jenny Wheatley.

Later in the month Jupiter Antiques will be holding their 10th annual Ceramics May Fair event in conjunction with Mark and Sandra Diamond and Catherine Hunt Oriental Antiques. Our ground floor will be taken over with cabinets full of 18th and 19th century porcelain and ceramics. This event takes place on 26th, 27th and 28th May and is complimentary entry with all exhibits for sale.

Last but by no means least we would like to welcome a new exhibitor to the galleries, Alison Davey of Signed and Designed. Although Alison deals in 19th and early 20th century pottery and ceramics, she also represents various contemporary artists and it is their works of art she is exhibiting at the galleries. The items displayed are quite stunning and work equally well in both contemporary and traditional interiors. Alison has a page on our website, which you can view here but better still, you can view these pieces first hand at the galleries.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need any further information on any of our events. In the meantime we leave you to peruse through some chosen items below that have a slightly 'tea' theme! And we look forward to seeing you at 'A History of Tea' this coming weekend.

With our very best wishes,
Lennox, Sue and all at the galleries.
