Apologies for the late arrival of this month's letter but due to the various fairs taking place this month life has been somewhat hectic. However, by the time this letter does arrive in your inbox many of our specialists will have returned from the various fairs, namely the BADA Antiques & Fine Art Fair and The Chelsea Antiques Fair. We do hope you were able to pop along to these and see some wonderful antiques and works of art.

It is now time to turn our attention to our own events programme which is now gaining pace. Firstly we are preparing for Jupiter Antiques selling exhibition on Saturday 3rd May and Sunday 4th May, and secondly the following week Dianne Brick of Amherst Antiques will be presenting 'What's in a Box?' on Sunday 11th May, which will incorporate a talk about a very historical box and will include lunch at a local eatery.

Details for both these events can be found in 'Dates for your Diary' at the bottom of this letter.

We look forward to seeing you in the coming months,

With our very best wishes,
Lennox, Sue and all at the galleries.

Object of the Month

As mentioned last month, we will be featuring a unique object from each of our specialists. This month we couldn't resist this fascinating miniature Victorian greenhouse known as a Fern Case or Fernery. No self-respecting middle-class Victorian family would have been without one. The Victorians were completely obsessed with ferns and some fern cases even included lavish aquariums.

You can read more about this fascinating subject on Lennox's Blog
