June Newsletter 2013
As you read this letter several of our specialists will be exhibiting at The Olympia International Fine Art & Antiques Fair. This annual event is one of the largest quality antiques fairs on the calendar and is frequented by overseas visitors as well as our own home market. Lennox Cato will be taking part in two debates during the second week. One hosted by the Antiques Trade Gazette the other by Sotheby's Institute of Art. For further information on these please visit the fair website at www.olympia-art-antiques.com
From the 12th - 15th June Jupiter Antiques will also be busy hosting their annual Ceramics Mayfair event at the Four Seasons Hotel in Park Lane, London. More information on this can be found at www.ceramicsmayfair.co.uk
With so much going on in London during June we in Edenbridge have much to compete with! However, rest assured that there is still much to see here and with parking no problem and the chance for a lovely lunch in one of the nearby rural pubs, we are sure you will agree that the countryside has far more appeal at this time of year!!
Our Open Weekend entitled 'Birds, Bees & Butterflies' was a great success and we would like to thank everyone who attended. It was lovely to see so many familiar and new faces!
Amherst Antiques selling exhibition was extremely well attended with visitors queuing outside the door at 8am to buy their chosen pieces! Buyers travelled from far and wide to purchase certain items not seen on the open market for many years.
Lennox Cato will be off to Wales next month for another Antiques Roadshow. The venue is Gregynog near Newtown, Powys, so if you live nearby please do go along for a great day out.
That seems to be all for the moment except that we look forward to seeing you sometime soon either at the forthcoming fairs or in the galleries and don't forget you can follow us on Twitter and 'Like' us on Facebook!
Our best wishes,
Lennox, Sue and all at the galleries.
Competition of the Month
This month we resume our monthly competition with the chance to win a £100 gift voucher to spend at the galleries. This time Jupiter Antiques, our porcelain specialists, have come up with this question. Which Worcester blue and white pattern is more likely to be two Chinese warriors than something matrimonial? The image will help you with your answer. Please email or phone us by June 30th for your chance to win. Good luck!
