Welcome

As the London season of antique fairs comes to a close, we are proud to offer antiques buyers a more relaxed atmosphere in which to choose from a highly diversified and impressive collection of antique furniture and decorative items displayed on three floors. This summer, why not combine a visit to Kent's premier location for antiques with a visit to the nearby spa town of Tunbridge Wells or the historic houses Penshurst Place or Hever Castle?

Best Wishes from Lennox, Sue and everyone at the galleries.

Jupiter Antiques Exhibition

Jupiter Antiques would like to thank the hundreds of people who visited their hugely successful exhibition at the Four Seasons Hotel in London, bought from the catalogue or bought online from the website. This year the catalogue was expanded by 50% to 32 pages and packed full of highly desirable items. As in previous years not all pieces have sold, yet. The catalogue lives on, both on paper and on the website. If you like the look of something, it might be still available, so do contact Brad or Kevin on 01273 302865.

Tunbridge Ware Object of the Month July 2011

A Tunbridge Ware box veneered in coromandel, with floral mosaic to the frieze. The lid of the box, which is also inlaid with a floral spray, unusually lifts out and is also veneered on the underside with line inlay.

Attributed to Thomas Barton, it has been suggested this design was intended as a collar box. Alternatively it may have been a Barton design for a handkerchief box.

For more information on unusual Barton designs please go to Dianne's blog Outside Of The Box - http://www.tunbridgeware.org/p/blog
