Let us start by wishing all our friends and clients a very Happy New Year. May it be healthy, happy and prosperous for us all!

We hope you all had a lovely Christmas which now seems to be a far off distant memory! Everyone at the galleries enjoyed a well-earned break and are now knuckling down to continuing to source a fine array of antiques and fine art.

We are also deciding on our various events to be held throughout the year of which we will keep you posted as time goes on.

Several of our specialists take part in various fairs around the country and these are generally listed at the bottom of our letter. We are always happy to send complimentary invitations if you would like to attend any.

A warm welcome is always here to greet you at the galleries, so until your next visit we send our very best wishes.

Lennox, Sue and all at the galleries.

Object of the Month

This month our object is this highly interesting Tunbridge Ware box with a most unusual view. A rosewood veneered writing slope with an unknown view, however, Dianne Brick has carried out some investigative work and has identified it as Wollaton Hall in Nottinghamshire. Unusual for a Tunbridge Ware item to use a view of a building from the more Northern parts of our country, but Dianne has come across this before when she embarked on her Landmarks exhibition a couple of years ago. You can read all about this box on her website here.
For a discussion of this rare find please see our blog "New Year, New View".
