Welcome to our first newsletter of 2014 in which we wish for a happy, healthy and prosperous year for us all.

No doubt many of you would have seen rather distressing flood scenes on your television screens of Edenbridge High Street. The town did experience some extremely heavy rain fall with our rivers banks bursting and several of the shops by the bridge experiencing a very wet Christmas. Thankfully the galleries escaped with no damage at all. Fortunately we are just high enough for the water not to reach us, so we are eternally grateful for that and also for the many messages of concern.

The appalling conditions did not stop many of you venturing out to buy last minute Christmas presents which we hope were received well by their intended recipients. We do pride ourselves on providing a wide selection of ideas for every pocket, and thankfully just about everyone who ventured in did find something suitable and, of course, unique!

Shaw Edwards, who specialises in early oak carvings and furniture, is holding a 'January Sale' with up to 40% off selected items of stock. This will be for a fortnight only, ending on 28th January after which the original price will resume. If you wish to receive a list of the items please email him on info@shawedwardsantiques.co.uk

As we write we are beginning to put together a programme of events for the coming year, which, once finalised will be mentioned in forthcoming newsletters. A slightly different approach this year as none of us want to become rusty and boring!

This leaves us to say we welcome you any time at the galleries and also encourage you to peruse through our website regularly. You will see some carefully selected items in our Signature Pieces below, which just goes to emphasise the variety and quality on offer at our unique enterprise.

Once again a Happy New Year to you all,
Lennox, Sue and all at the galleries.
