January Newsletter 2013

Welcome to our first newsletter of 2013. Happy New Year to you and we sincerely hope it will be a happy, healthy and prosperous one for us all. Firstly, we would like to thank everyone who visited our Christmas Open Weekend. The Teddy Bear theme certainly put a smile on everyone's faces and bought out the childlike instinct in us all! Sue Pearson had the audience captivated as they listened to her stories of how she acquired part of her delightful collection. Sadly the teddies have all gone home now but maybe they will return another time!

Some of you may already have read that we have been shortlisted for 'Antiques Centre of the Year' in the Homes & Antiques Awards 2013. We are absolutely delighted to have been nominated but we now need votes to enable us a chance to win. Therefore, if you enjoy visiting our galleries and feel you receive a professional and friendly service please vote for us by visiting www.homesandantiques.com/awards. You will also have the chance of winning a two night stay at Londons, Draycott Hotel. Voting is open until the 28th February. We thank you in anticipation and wish you luck in the drawer!

Lennox Cato is preparing for his first talk of the year which takes place on 4th February at Calcot Manor in the beautiful Cotswolds, Gloucestershire. This will be a lunch time event entitled 'Antiques for Investment'. Lennox will be discussing the merits and the pitfalls of buying antiques and touch on how he became involved in this fascinating business. There are still some tickets available at a cost of £28 per head to include a delicious lunch. Please visit their website http://www.calcotmanor.co.uk/ for further information and to book a place.

Please remember you can follow us on Twitter and become a friend on Facebook which is another way of keeping up to date with all that we do here in Edenbridge and elsewhere.

Once again a very Happy New Year to you all,

With best wishes,
Lennox, Sue and all at the galleries.
