Welcome to our February newsletter from a very wet and soggy Edenbridge! No doubt you are as fed up with the weather as we are and we most sincerely hope none of you have experienced flooding to your homes. The galleries have been spared for which we are incredibly grateful as the river has burst its banks on several occasions. The roads seem to be our main problem now with pot holes appearing all over the place. Please do take care if, as we hope you will, be visiting us in the very near future. We can assure you that a visit to our galleries will lift your spirits during this depressing spell of unprecedented weather!

We have been very busy planning our events for 2014 and have decided to make some changes to our usual format. Firstly, we will not be holding our May Open weekend this year, but instead hosting exhibitions and talks throughout the year by our various specialists. Our big event of the year will take place at the end of November and we will keep you posted with all the various events and dates as we go through the year. Dates for your Diary below will enable you to mark some of them in your diaries now!

Instead of our monthly competition we will be presenting an Object of the Month from each specialist throughout the year. This will be something of particular merit or interest. Something we can all learn from!

We do hope you will find our changes agreeable and look forward to seeing you in the near future. Please don't forget to follow us on Facebook, Twitter and now Pinterest.

With our very best wishes,
Lennox, Sue and all at the galleries.
