Spring seems to have sprung as I write this letter, and not a moment too soon! We hope this will encourage you to step out into our beautiful countryside not just to visit us but also the many attractions you will find in the Weald of Kent.

At the galleries we are underway with our preparations for our Spring Open Weekend; this year entitled 'A History of Tea'. This really seems to have struck a chord with many of you and has given us much scope to provide a very interesting and entertaining event. As well as our specialists selecting various tea related items, we have had the good fortune to locate a local tea merchant who will be providing us with our very own blended tea! They will also present a talk on this highly fascinating subject which we know will enlighten us all on the history of this once very precious commodity.

Invitations will soon be sent out via post and email, but please ensure you keep the dates of the 7th and 8th May in your diary. The tea merchant's talk will take place at 2.30pm on Saturday 7th.

Before our May event Amherst Antiques are holding a selling exhibition entitled 'Temptations: A Discerning Collector's Choice'. With over 70 pieces of interesting Tunbridge Ware collected over the past 30 years this certainly will be a very 'tempting' exhibition to attend.

Starting on Saturday 16th April and running till Saturday 23rd April, there will be much to view and add to your own collections. Dianne will also be holding an information session on Saturday 23rd at 2pm on Tunbridge Ware desk accessories, and invites you to bring along your own desk accessories for discussion. Although this event is complimentary, booking is required. As usual, tea and cake will be served afterwards. Please note the exhibition will NOT be open on a Sunday.

Lennox will once again be taking part in the Antiques Roadshow with his first recording taking place at Tewkesbury Abbey in Gloucestershire, on Thursday May 12th.

We look forward to seeing you at the galleries sometime soon,
With our very best wishes,
Lennox, Sue and all at the galleries.
