Lennox Cato began his career in 1978 in the antiques trade in Brighton having been adopted and raised by a family who had been in the antiques & fine art business for several generations.

Having had shops in Brighton and Lewes he moved to Edenbridge, Kent, in 1997 where his business has flourished. His stock comprises of a selection of 18th and 19th century furniture and related accessories.

He is a regular exhibitor at most major London Fairs including the Olympia fairs, The BADA Fine Art & Antiques Fair and the recently launched LAPADA Art & Antiques Fair..

Since becoming a member of the prestigious BADA (The British Antiques Dealers Association) in 1990, he has served for many years on the BADA Fair committee as well as a council member. More recently he spent a year as Country Vice-Chairman.

His latest venture was the opening of The Edenbridge Galleries offering a showcase for members of the BADA and LAPADA. It is the first operation of its kind and has attracted much interest from the antiques trade, private buyers and collectors from around the world.

Lennox is also a regular contributor on BBC One’s Antiques Roadshow.

He is available for talks and lectures on his work as an antiques dealer and is happy to include an insight into life on the Antiques Roadshow.

Consulting, valuations, appraisals and sourcing certain items for clients can also be carried out.
