Description / Expertise

A very rare mahogany decanter stand by James Mein of Kelso. Raised on three original leather castors, having a dished top with a hand carved gadrooned edge.
The 18th century Masonic cut glass decanter is engraved Lodge 154 (The Lodge of'St Anthony'which is the oldest Lodge in the Garioch and the Province of Aberdeenshire, West) and possibly made in Newcastle, having a target stopper, finely engraved with the Scottish thistle and the English rose.
