Description / Expertise
English oak carved and panelled chest, circa 1610. Imposing and profusely carved three-panelled oak coffer, circa 1610-20, probably from Gloucestershire. Decorated with eternity symbols, flowers and foliate carvings.
The bottom has been replaced with 17th century elm boards.
