Description / Expertise

Bow charming good coffee can or small mug painted in famille rose style with large chrysanthemum and stylised rock, c. 1752 but probably earlier, highly translucent, 5.9 cm high, defects in production but really as made. Note green "blob" to base of photo right. It bubbled in the glaze firing and a bit of green enamel was used to disguise it.
