D201. “Les Inseparables by Rene Lalique, circa 1926. This is a particularly good example of one of Laliques rectangular desk or dressing table strutt clocks in clear and frosted glass depicting two love birds. An attractive feature is the painting to the dial centre of three further birds, two in blue plumage and one in red and brown. The glass of the clock is signed to the base R.Lalique.
The Swiss 8 day movement has a gilded chapter ring with arabic minute numerals and a fixed winding key. Size. 4 ½" square. £6,350.
